WOW. Elisabeth Elliot's devotionals often give me something new to think about, but today's actually made me say WOW.
One reason we are so harried and hurried is that we make yesterday and tomorrow our business, when all that legitimately concerns us is today. If we really have too much to do, there are some items on the agenda which God did not put there. Let us submit the list to Him and ask Him to indicate which items we must delete. There is always time to do the will of God. If we are too busy to do that, we are too busy.
hi, I'm a friend of Megan's, and I had to comment on this, because WOW from me too-- it was THE perfect thing for me to hear today as I am stressing out over the week ahead and all there is to do. How glad I am that the Lord brought me here to your blog so He could give me this reminder!! :) "There is always time to do God's will." Amen to that!!

Man oh MAN is that what I needed to hear, too. Funny how when you brought up this blog in the first place I was like, "You had time to do a BLOG today??" LOL, must've been in God's plan!
ReplyDeletethanks, I really need to hear that each and every day. I'm not a fan of busy schedules and so I always commit to as little as possible and then all of a sudden I forget and say yes to a lot of things and am overwhelmed. I think sometimes we all forget to give our list to God--I'm sure he'd x out practically my whole list some days.
