Advice-Askin'

I know that you must excel in areas that I do not. You are smart. You're thin and healthy and your house looks nice. Right? So help me out here, sister.

1. How do you stay active? Do you have some sort of exercise routine?

2. What is your house-cleaning schedule like? Do you just clean things as they need it or do you follow a daily/weekly routine?

  2. Yeah, I think I'll be advice reading also!

I read in a magazine yesterday about a lady who decided to challenge herself to lose weight after watching Biggest Loser. She decided to wake up early (like 1/2 hour) and do an exercise video. She said as cheesy as she felt, she knew it was the only way she would get any activity in. She also stopped buying junk foods so that she would be forced to snack on fruits and veggies. She would cut them up at night so they were ready the next day.

Now, I wish I was as dedicated as this woman, but it really seemed to work for her.

As far as cleaning, YUCK! I know my friend Allyson does check lists (or used to before kids, not sure if she still does). She would check off the things that needed to be done each week/month. I pay $40 every 3rd week to have a family friend come and do some deep cleaning and my house still isn't super clean. It is the best $40 I spend each month!

  3. the excercise part i have no help to offer.

the cleaing i am all over that. cleaning and organizing now that i love!!!!! i do have a schedule i follow but at this house i havent got to excercise that schedule or make a new one since things are not done yet. i usually spend one whole day a week cleaning the hosue top to bottom and then straighten up the other days. i always make sure the kitchen is clean before i go to be, the dishwasher is running and the house is somewhat picked up. i can not stand waking up to a dirty home so that is the biggest tip i have. the other big thing is my kids do a lot of chores

  4. i am not particularly thin, lol, but i am active. i walk to and from work, the store, the park, etc... i figure i walk at least 2 miles every single day.

as for cleaning, well i'm not particularly organized either. every evening i do:
at least 1 load of laundry
    sweep the livingroom/kitchen floors
    put away the toys
    do the dishes

but my house still shows signs of hurricane Eli.

  6. I would love to give you some advice, but these are the areas I need the most advice in myself! :)
For keeping fit, my husband and I are planning on getting a Wii Fit. It's something we can both do together, something fun. I'll let you know how it is!

    1. I don't, sadly :( Lately it's been better since I got Wii Fit- I can trick myself into exercising

    2. My housekeeper comes every other week LOL So that makes me usually keep on top of clutter. Although, since we're moving soon, my house is a total war zone- so, nothing will be clean and in its place for awhile after we're in our new house.
